BHB conducts a series of health workshops with Bhagidari

Health Camp at Delhi Secretariat – 22nd July 2010

Billion Hearts Beating began a campaign at the Delhi Secretariat in association with Apollo Hospitals and Times of India on 21st July 2010. The campaign was inaugurated by Chief Minister  Smt. Sheila Dikshit. Ms. Dikshit along with Health Minister Prof. Kiran Walia, Chief Secretary Mr. Rajendar Kumar took the pledge on this occasion. Nearly 200 Delhi government employees at the Secretariat pledged their support and received a heart check. The honorable minister for health congratulated the Apollo Group for launching the campaign and assured them that the department would whole heartedly support the campaign as they understood the need for a healthy nation.

Health Camp at Pragati Maidan – 9th & 10th April 2011

Billion Hearts Beating participated in the annual Bhagidari Utsav that was organized at Pragati Maidan on 9th & 10th  April 2011. A large screening unit comprising of cardiac and basic check-ups was organized with support of the Apollo Group. Over the space of these two days, nearly 2,000 citizens of Delhi from different walks of life underwent the elaborate check-ups and benefitted from the event.

Health Camp at Delhi Secretariat – 26th  September 2011

As part of a weeklong awareness programme to celebrate World Heart Day, Billion Hearts Beating in association with Apollo Hospitals organized a free heart screening camp for the employees of the Delhi Secretariat on 26th September 2011 at the Delhi Secretariat. The camp was inaugurated by the Chief Minister Smt. Sheila Dikshit. Various screening tests were conducted and people were advised by doctors on preventive and curative measures, healthy lifestlyle choices and dietary habits in order to reduce the risk of heart disease. More than 500 people participated in the health check.
