“Under the orphanage programme, Billion Hearts Beating Foundation organized a health awareness workshop on “Feminine Hygiene & Sanitation” for the children of Kasturba Vidyalaya in Baktawarpur Village, New Delhi on 11th August, 2018. Creating a culture that welcomes discussion and makes adequate education for girls is of equal importance.
The workshop educated the children about the direct links between personal hygiene and good health. It is an approach for promoting personal hygiene among children. BHB tried raising awareness of the importance of good menstrual hygiene management worldwide. In the workshop, children learnt about the types of hygiene & how to take care of female hygiene properly. After the session, a small quiz was held for the children where small gift packs were awarded to the ones who gave the correct answers.”
