Billion Hearts Beating Foundation
Billion Hearts Beating Foundation is a not-for-profit founded in 2010 by Apollo Hospitals. The organization serves the most neglected healthcare needs of citizens, supporting those who may not have access to quality care, medicines, and medical knowledge.
Billion Hearts Beating Foundation is registered under the 12A Income Tax Act and also covered under the Income Tax Act of 80G for all its projects, which allows 50% exemption to all donors. The foundation has also acquired the FCRA certificate which enables it to accept foreign donations towards projects.
The foundation provides health related services to senior care homes, runs welfare health programmes for the underserved, conducts Basic Life Support training session for citizens and establishes free clinic services across India. It works on the bedrock of empathy, dignity, and respect, focusing on prevention and preparedness.
What We Do
Billion Hearts Beating Foundation has identified few old age homes in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Delhi/ NCR where medical needs are assessed through regular health checks and distribution drives of healthcare amenities & medications as per need basis.
Under the children’s program, it aims to introduce comprehensive health checks & awareness workshops to the children. The main aim is to educate children to become healthier & stronger.
Since 2012, BHB is associated with the National Cadet Corps (NCC). Each year, the foundation conducts a session on Life Saving and Basic Life Support for around 1600 cadets in Delhi to spread the awareness on emergency situations.
Under awareness program, BHB organizes various health camps & health awareness drives in different parts of the country to reach out and educate people about the importance of health.
